Best Sizes for Business Card QR Codes

We often receive questions about the ideal sizes for QR Codes. Since we use them on our own printed materials, we also spent a decent amount of time testing what works. We recently ran a test of a QR Code business card at 6 different sizes.  We used 4 different readers to see what kind of results we could come up with. The results are below:

How did you resize the codes? As pixel or vector images? We use a QR on our business card that is 15mm square with no problems.

    Made my own test (iphone4)
1″ x 1″: i-nigma worked for me very easily. Scan life took a while but it also got it in the end, Qrafter also did it, but was very slow and had to try many times.
3/4 inch : i-nigma worked, bit fiddly but not too much trouble, san life and Qrafter didn’t work
    1/2 inch: all failed

    Hi,

I understand that the free i-nigma is only allowed to be used for personal use rather than commercial use, however does anyone know how to get a commercial license? I want to use it on some basic flyers and am wondering whether I need to get authorisation to do this. If anyone has any information for me, that would be great!

    Thanks
